CrescenDuo

OUR JOURNEY

Rachel Koller was born into a musical family, with both parents being music teachers. She started learning piano as soon as her fingers were big enough to fit on the keys, and went on to complete her Grade 9 at the Royal Conservatory of Music. From singing in the church choir to playing oboe in a youth orchestra, the classical music influences were strong. However, as she grew up in the late 70’s and 80’s, Rock n Roll and R&B music became her passion. She has played in various Rock and Motown bands for the past 30 years as a part-time performer, and is now excited about focusing on playing full time, professionally, as a member of CrescenDuo.

Graham Kelly has only ever used one instrument - his voice. He learned to project his voice to the back of theatres as a teen actor, and broadcast it to TV audiences as a news reporter. As a youth worker, he used a calmer voice to facilitate sharing circles for at-risk teens. He vocalized for crowds as a slam-poet and spoken-word artist and, as an emcee, made announcements from music festival stages. Now, with CrescenDuo, he has realized the power of transforming his voice into a full musical instrument, to deliver rousing vocals on vintage Rock, Country fusion, and old school Soul tracks.
